our process is listed here to help you understand what you can expect when working with us to design a custom invitation!

1~ plan ahead

We would love to meet with you 6 months to a year prior to your event date. It's never too early to start! Our initial conversation can set the tone for all the other aspects of your event. Though we like to start early, we can always work with last minute situations.

2 ~ meeting of the minds

We work with you one-on-one, offering ideas and suggestions to develop a creative direction based on your personal style. Bring swatches, magazine clippings, photos and anything that you think might bring inspiration to the design of your invitation!

3 ~ pricing

When we reach a general design concept, a price quote is created based on your project and may vary based on the scale and intricacy of your design.

4 ~ digital design proof

You can expect to hear from us within 2 weeks of placing your deposit. We will send you an email that includes a digital design proof in a PDF format. From this point we work with you to edit and finalize wording.

5 ~ final proof

A final digital proof is presented to you via email. Once you have approved the final proof, Pink Tomato will not be responsible for errors or additional changes -- so please review each piece carefully. The remaining balance of your account is due at this point, and we can begin ordering the paper!

6 ~ production and delivery

Depending on the complexity of the design and items in-stock, the production time from the final approval may take 2 to 8 weeks.
